See How They Ring!

A new history of handbell ringing in Australasia

The Lynch Family

The Lynches were the first of the well-known Australian bellringing families. Henry Lynch and his four young sons began bellringing in 1867 in their home town of Geelong, and sixty years later the Lynch Family Bellringers were still performing. For most of this time the Lynches remained an all male group, well-known throughout Australia and New Zealand. The Lynches also made overseas tours, including one grand tour in the 1880s to Ceylon, India, Burma, China, Japan and Java.
